Dancealorus is a “a synthesis of dance and film in a live stage event that champions collaboration as a fundamental form of creative expression in a unique sensory experience.” This event kicks off the annual Cucalorus Film Festival in Wilmington, NC. Filmmakers and choreographers collaborate to create unique and inspiring works for festival goers.

Applications to create for Dancealorus 2023 is HERE!

Dancealorus Dancer Auditions: If you are interested in dancing in Dancealorus, we will be holding auditions Aug. 5, 2023 at 4:00pm at UNCW’s Cultural Arts Building in the Dance Studio. Doors will open at 3:30pm for dancers to warm-up. 

If you are a choreographer interested in auditioning for dancers, please email dancecooperative@gmail.com so we can be on the look out for you. Choreographers may bring up to 32 counts of movement that will help them decide on dancers.
